Reserve Space in Our Parks

Our parks are open to the public, but you can secure priority use of picnic tables, fields, and other park areas by obtaining a permit.

How to Reserve

To reserve space, please submit your application at least five (5) business days in advance. Additional processing time may be required for special events or sporting activities.

Special Events (Over 100 People)

If your event will host more than 100 attendees, please complete our Special Event Application Form and email the completed form to parkpermits@saanich.ca. General liability insurance required.

Other Uses

This permit is also required for:

  • Park Access Permit - Accessing a park or trail for private property, public utility, or construction-related work.

External Vendors & Catered Food Services require the following:
  • A valid Saanich or Inter-Municipal Business License
  • General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000.00 coverage, listing The Corporation of the District of Saanich as an additional insured
  • A valid Island Health Certificate (Catered Services Only)

Do you need to purchase event insurance?

Any group reserving space in our parks with more than 100 participants, all commercial groups and all organized sport groups require proof of general liability insurance with the Corporation of the District of Saanich added as an additional insured.
