How to Submit a Complete Application

Step 1 – Prepare your Documents

Review the Application Form and the Required Documents Glossary to determine what you need to submit. You can contact staff with questions about the process such as:
- Which application type you need to submit
- How a specific requirement relates to your project

Step 2 – Submit your Application

Review the Digital File Submission Requirements for your application and email planning@saanich.ca to receive instructions on how to submit your application. We cannot accept or process incomplete applications

Step 3 – Staff Review of your Submission

When you submit your documents, notify the Planning Department so staff can begin reviewing your materials.

Step 4 – Paying your Fees and Tracking your Progress

When your submission is complete, you will receive an email with steps to pay your application fee(s).
Pay your fees through your MySaanich account via credit card or in person at the Municipal Hall via cheque, cash, debit card, and credit card.

Application fees are due by credit card (Visa and Mastercard only) at the time of submission. A 2.4% convenience fee appllies to credit card payments.
Please note that application fees are non-refundable.

Upon receipt of payment, your application will be prepared for circulation. You can create a MySaanich account to track your application’s progress through the review process.
