Saanich Vaccine Mandate for Volunteers
UPDATE: April 8 2022
The Contractors and Volunteers COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is suspended as of April 8 2022. New volunteers will still be required to provide vaccination status during on-boarding. This helps maintain confidence that the majority of our volunteers are vaccinated and ensures the District of Saanich can respond quickly should there be a need to re-activate the policy if circumstances change.
We will not be asking to see your vaccine passport, rather we are asking you attest to being vaccinated. Accomodations will be made for those individuals who cannot be vaccinated for reasons protected under the BC Human Rights Code. Being fully vaccinated means you have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine acceptable to the BC Centre for Disease Control Standards
Protocols such as hand sanitizing, phsyical distancing and mask wearing will continue to be in place.
For more information please contact the Coordinator of Volunteers for Parks, Recreation and Community Services, Julie van den Born. email@example.com
