Tell us about the trees and biodiversity in Saanich that matter to you!
Open Now: Saanich invites you to participate in the Community Storymap - an interactive online mapping tool to help inform two projects related to the environment in Saanich:
Share what you value in Saanich about biodiversity and urban forests (location and information) and tell us about improvements and/or risks to those trees and natural features. The information you provide will be used in two ways:
- To inform a Biodiversity Conservation Strategy for Saanich. This strategy is part of the Resilient Saanich initiative.
- In the update of Saanich’s Urban Forest Strategy that will guide urban forest management for the next 10 to 50 years.
Your input will help us understand the community’s priorities and issues. It will also help us prepare for further public engagement in later project phases.
Diamond Head Consulting is hosting this mapping tool as the consultant working on both these initiatives.
