• You don’t have to line your kitchen container. However, it helps to keep it clean. You’ll also find liners make it easier to move scraps to the outdoor organics cart.

Plastic and biodegradable bags cannot be turned into compost. If you use one in your organics recycling cart, we won’t collect it. This is because it can neither be recycled nor taken to the landfill.
