Throughout 2025 and 2026, Parks staff connected with residents through community events and park-based outreach. You may have seen us at the Strawberry and Cadboro Bay festivals, or at our summer time Naturalist Pop-Up events held in various parks over the summer.

During summer 2026, a Saanich Bylaw Officer also patrolled local parks to help educate visitors about park-specific dog regulations.

Watch our video Dogs in Saanich Parks: Rules for a Safe and Enjoyable Visit to understand these rules and support respectful park use. Watch it below or on YouTube.
