Saanich has 21 parks with tennis and pickleball courts. Find a location near you on the map below.

Outdoor tennis courts

Enjoy playing at one of our over 20 outdoor tennis courts.

Tennis play is permitted only between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at outdoor courts, unless otherwise noted.

~Notice regarding hours of play at Copley West Park~

Effective August 1 and until further notice, the outdoor courts at Copley West Park will be locked outside of the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The outdoor courts at Copley West Park are lined both for tennis and pickleball. The decision to start locking the courts is in response to regularly reported incidents of pickleball being played outside of the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Unfortunately, this will also limit permitted hours of play for tennis on these courts. For spring/summer 2027, Parks will explore alternative solutions.

Fowler Park (#21)

The new, dedicated tennis court will be open for play as of September 15, 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Brydon Park (Viewmont) tennis court (#14)

Public hours for Viewmont tennis courts
Both Saanich Tennis Club members and the public can use the courts at these times:

  • Tuesdays: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
  • Wednesdays: 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Fridays: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 2 to 6 p.m.

Outdoor pickleball courts

Enjoy playing at one of six different outdoor court locations featuring a total of ten shared and eight dedicated courts.

Pickleball play is permitted only between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at outdoor courts, unless otherwise noted.

Important note: the Tolmie Park pickleball courts will be permanently closed as of October 1, 2026. As recommended in the 2024 Regional Pickleball Strategy, these pickleball courts are being decommissioned and will be converted to a new use. Neighbourhood consultation will be undertaken later in 2026 to help identify repurposing options for the court surface.

Reserve a pickleball court 

Four reservable pickleball courts at Fowler Park are opening September 15 as part of the Fowler Park Pickleball Court Reservation Pilot.

For $10.50 per hour, players can reserve a court online through Saanich RecOnline up to 7 days in advance, starting at 7:30am.

Pickleball strategy

Pickleball is an important recreational activity for residents. To respond effectively to its growth, Saanich partnered with other local municipalities to develop the Pickleball Strategy for Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay and Esquimalt.

Indoor pickleball courts

Saanich offers indoor pickleball at G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and Saanich Commonwealth Place. See schedules and learn more here. 

Outdoor court courtesy

Please respect other players, park users and our neighbours by following these guidelines:

  • Most courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Observe hours of play.
    • Unless otherwise posted, tennis court use is available between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. and pickleball court use is available between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Limit play to 30 minutes or one set if others are waiting.
    • Team up and play doubles where possible.
  • No pickleball play on courts without pickleball lines.
  • Use courts for racquet sports only.
    • No pets, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, hockey or other play to occur in courts.
  • Keep your noise level and language appropriate.

Availability: Courts in parks not included in these schedules are not booked by user groups and are available for public use.
