In 2024, the District of Saanich was awarded nearly $15 million over four years through the federal government’s Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF).

The District has committed to an Action Plan comprised of eight initiatives to accelerate the approval of housing over the three years of the program. The District is aiming to permit 1,727 new homes through the program period.
