Inspection of Nomination Documents
Section 89(9) of the Local Government Act states: “A person who inspects or otherwise accesses nomination documents under this section must not use the information included in them except for the purposes of this Act or purposes authorized by Section 63 [restrictions on use of personal information] of the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act.”
The declaration of candidates was made public by the Chief Election Officer at the close of the nomination period shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026.
The Declaration of Election by Voting was issued by the Chief Election Officer on September 21, 2026. The declaration lists all confirmed candidates for the offices of Mayor, Councillor and School Trustee for School Districts 61 and 63, as well as candidates for CRD Director.
