Scope of Work: The District of Saanich (District) is seeking construction services from a General Contractor for replacement of the existing Gold Arena refrigerated concrete slab, and replacement of an elevator.
To receive full consideration, each Bid should follow the instructions, requirements, and format provided.

Mandatory Site Visit: There is a mandatory site meeting scheduled for Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Bidders and subcontractors are asked to meet and sign-inat the main front door entrance of G.R. Pearkes Recreation Centre, located at 3100 Tillicum Road, Victoria, BC V9A 6T2. COVID-19 Protocols are in place, refer to Section 5.3 of the Instructions to Bidders.
COVID-19 Protocols
All Bidders must conduct a COVID-19 Self-Assessment the day of the site visit and not attend if they are symptomatic or ill.
Bidders will wear a mask while inside buildings and during other times when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Bidders must contact Purchasing before the site visit if there are any reasons they cannot adhere to wearing a mask.
Bidders should bring all items necessary for participation with them to the site visit (e.g. mask, pen).
Bidders are expected to exercise proper hand hygiene (e.g. cough into sleeve), maintain physical distancing, and avoid any unnecessary contact with work surfaces.
Only one representative should attend the site visit from each potential company. Submissions will only be accepted from Bidders that attend and sign in at this mandatory site meeting.
Representatives will follow directions of Saanich staff regarding how tour will be conducted including route, group size, protocol for entering and exiting smaller areas, etc. Any behaviour deemed to be disrespectful or inappropriate may result in the representative being asked to leave the site meeting.
