Uptown Holiday Show and Tree Light Up
Saanich is partnering with Uptown for the Tree Light Up and Holiday Show!
When: Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm.
Where: Uptown Boulevard, 3440 Saanich Road.

5 pm - stage show begins
6.30 pm - tree lighting

Getting to the Venue
There are lots of ways to get here! Consider cycling and transit, as parking lots will be full, and getting in and out of the venue will take extra time. Uptown has a handy guide for how to access the mall via transit and car. Visit Directions & Hours | Uptown and scroll down to the bottom.
If you are taking your bike, there are several bike racks throughout the facility. They are spiral racks, best suited for traditional, non cargo bikes and longtails. Cargo bikes with a front box may not fit at these racks.
For extra off-site bike and vehicle parking, Saanich has cargo-bike friendly bike racks at Municipal Hall and plenty of vehicle parking off of Vernon Avenue. It's a short walk to Uptown from there via Ravine.
Saanich Multicultural Winter Holiday Booth
Saanich is hosting a multicultural winter holiday booth, celebrating some of the many winter holidays that take place in November and December. Christmas isn't the only think to celebrate at this time of year; come to our booth to learn about other traditions and holidays that families in our community celebrate.
Our booth will be the large 20x20 tent, located on Uptown Boulevard in front of [store]. Vendors included in our booth are the Japanese Friendship Society, Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, and Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS). We'll have free winter-themed crafts, information on multicultural winter holidays, and some general information on Winter/Spring Saanich programs.

Seating/surface conditions: There will be limited seating options at the event. There are benches around the venue, and may be seating available inside restaurants and cafes for patrons.
Washrooms: Public washrooms at Uptown are on the Walmart level in the parkade. There are washrooms available inside Walmart as well. Washrooms inside cafes and restaurants are likely reserved for patrons.
Noise and Crowds: This event attracts a lot of people, and can get quite crowded. Expect crowds to peak at 6.30 pm during the tree light up.
Weather: This event is outdoors and will proceed rain or shine.
Dogs: Leashed dogs are welcome.
