Cedar Hill Main Gallery

The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre is a large public gallery space that hosts numerous exhibits every year and is a focal point within the Centre.  The gallery is situated inside of a dynamic and welcoming space that brings together community through recreation, wellness, and the arts. 

The Main Gallery is a spacious, community-focused exhibition space featuring natural light and track lighting. Located within the centre, the gallery is wheelchair accessible and open to the public during regular business hours.

Exhibiting in the Main Gallery

  • Applications are open to artists, arts and cultural groups, and community organizations at all stages of development.
  • Artists/groups are responsible for the installation and removal of their exhibition.
  • Exhibitions typically run for approximately four weeks.
  • Submissions are accepted once per year through an open call held between June and July for the following year’s exhibition season.
  • If accepted, an exhibition fee of $275 + GST applies to help support gallery maintenance and administration. Saanich does not take commission on artwork sales.
  • Gallery size: approximately 68 m² (730 sq ft), measuring roughly 31 ft long × 21 ft wide.
