The District of Saanich is looking for Student Greeters to help welcome and assist voters during the upcoming election.
Position Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Not be related to, or involved in, the campaign of any candidate
- Have good communication and people skills
- Be comfortable welcoming and assisting members of the public
- A second language would be an asset
Shifts
Student Greeters will work one 7-hour shift on Saturday, October 17, 2026:
- 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
A mandatory training session is also required.
Compensation
- $135 for the 7-hour election-day shift
- $25 for the mandatory training session
This is a great opportunity for students to gain work experience, develop communication skills, and contribute to their community.
