SCOPE OF WORK
This is an invitation to quote on labour, equipment and materials to provide rock walk construction services for the District of Saanich, Public Works Yard, as and when requested.
The purpose of this Annual Quotation is to select one (1) or more qualified Contractors. Qualified contractors will be placed on a list that will be managed by the Engineering & Public Works Department. Specific scopes of work, scheduling, and other specific contract provisions will be negotiated with selected contractors.
The District will rank the submissions from the lowest unit price to the highest unit price for the two items included in the Pricing Table, to establish the order in which Contractors will be called upon to provide services. If the first Contractor is unavailable for some or all of the requirements, the District reserves the right to contact the second Contractor, then, if necessary, the third Contractor on the list, and so on, in the order from the lowest to highest price quote. Where any Contractor on the list is repeatedly unavailable when called upon to provide services or not perform the work in accordance with this contract, the District reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to move that Contractor down the list or to the bottom of the list as the District deems appropriate.
Prior to construction, the District reserves the right to call any contractors to provide a quotation on any projects over 1.2 meters in height. For large and/or more complex projects that exceeding $50,000, the District reserves the right to go to the market and obtain contractors through an open competitive process, at its sole discretion.
