The District requires a qualified supplier to provide annual load testing on standby generators (37 in total), from a variety of manufacturers, as per the list attached and as when requested. The generators are maintained by the District staff from various departments and started on a regular basis, but there is no in-house ability to do a full load test.
TERM OF CONTRACT
The contract is for a period of two (2) years from January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2023 for the annual testing in 2022 and 2023. Upon mutual agreement, the contract might be extended for one year for the annual testing in 2024.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Provide 100% load bank testing for the manufacturer’s recommended duration (2 hour minimum) for the generators listed, once per year.
- Provide a report to the District of the test results for each generator.
- All work to be done by a TQ Electrician.
- Saanich will cooperate with the contractor to schedule the work as conveniently as possible, considering any operational issues that may need to be accommodated. The contractor must notify Saanich at least four weeks ahead of the desired testing date(s) to allow time for review, modification and approval of the schedule.
- The testing is expected to be completed for all generators between January 1st and March 31st of each year.
