    Saanich Parks and Recreation teams up with the Island Illustrators Society and arts and culture groups to take part in Canada's largest celebration of arts and culture! Come and experience arts, culture and well-being!

    Meet at Cedar Hill Arts Centre to officially unveil Earth Drums! The welcome and presentations will be followed by a short walk outside to the artwork site. The ceremony includes an opportunity to hear from the artist as well as a unique dedication for Earth Drums by Bradley Dick.

    This event is part of Culture Days and provides another opportunity to celebrate Earth Drums. The afternoon starts with a Lekwungen Traditional Dancers performance at Cedar Hill Arts Centre. From there, the Lekwungen Traditional Dancers will guide us on a short walk outside to the artwork site. Here visitors are invited to meet artist and interact with the sculpture.

    Orange Shirt Day is a national movement in Canada for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to come together in the spirit of hope and reconciliation to honour former residential school students whose families and communities have been impacted by the policies and actions of the Government of Canada and the churches that operated the schools

    Mayor Haynes and Council extend an invitation to attend the District of Saanich’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony at the Saanich cenotaph.

    Kick off your holiday season at Saanich Municipal Hall with a festive lights display and a variety of seasonal activities. Children’s Christmas Concerts, photos with Santa, arts and crafts station, seasonal games.
