About the project

The Shelbourne Street Improvements Project is a major corridor improvement that supports a safer, more accessible, and more connected Shelbourne Street.

The completed improvements support people walking, rolling, cycling, taking transit, and driving along this important Saanich corridor.

This celebration is an opportunity to recognize the completion of the project and thank residents, businesses, project partners, contractors, consultants, funders, staff, and community stakeholders for their patience, support, and contributions.

Celebratory bike ride

Following the ribbon cutting, Capital Bike will lead a short community bike ride along Shelbourne Street.

The ride is an opportunity for community members to experience the completed corridor and celebrate the project’s active transportation improvements.

Interested riders can register for the ride through Capital Bike at: capitalbike.ca

Participants who would like to join the ride but do not have access to a bike may be able to use a limited number of e-bikes provided by Evolve. Availability is limited and will be confirmed through the ride registration process.

Photography notice

Photos may be taken during the event for District of Saanich communications and documentation purposes.

Participants registering for the community bike ride through Capital Bike may also receive additional photo notice information through the ride registration process.
