General local elections are held every four years in BC.  The next municipal election will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026. 

In Saanich, eligible voters will elect:

  • 1 Mayor and 8 Councillors to Municipal Council
  • Trustees to the School Districts
  • 4 Directors to the Capital Regional District Board (by Community Opinion Question)
