Term: June 2024 and anticipated to August 31, 2024 

Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer, the Youth Leader II will provide leadership in planning, supervision and evaluation of summer programs in Saanich Recreation Centres and/or offsite and Saanich Parks locations. Successful candidates will be responsible for operation of programs including staff training and supervising, equipment and supplies, program planning, facility scheduling and logistics and other details as needed to ensure high quality programs. 

Requirements include completion of Grade 12; experience in administration of recreational programs; minimum six months experience working in a recreation day-camp setting; demonstrated program planning experience; supervisory experience in related field; Emergency First-Aid and CPR-Level C; a satisfactory police information check with Vulnerable Sector and a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s Licence. Successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, including some evenings and weekends, up to 40 hours per week. Hours will vary dependent on program needs.
