The Recreation Division is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Programmer II to lead arts and wellness programming at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of a variety of programs and services. This includes supervising instructional staff and contractors, recruiting and training new instructors, scheduling programs and facility use, conducting community needs assessments, and developing promotional materials. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team committed to promoting wellness and active living in the community and developing and maintaining partnerships and community development with organizations of a regional, provincial or national level.
Requirements include a University Degree in Recreation, leisure studies or a related field; three years of experience in program planning and staff supervision and a program specialty certification where applicable. Candidates must also possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence (if applicable) and provide a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) no older than 6 months. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
