Parks, Recreation and Community Services is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Instructor Is – Tennis to join the Recreation Division at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about tennis instruction and enjoy working with participants of varying ages and skill levels in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Under the general direction of a Recreation Programmer or Program Technician, the Instructor I provides direct instruction and leadership for tennis programs. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and equipment, delivering instructional sessions, monitoring participant safety and progress, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring a positive and welcoming environment. The Instructor also supports overall program delivery by maintaining equipment and facilities, following established procedures, and providing excellent customer service to participants and the public.

Requirements include completion of Grade 10, Tennis Canada Instructor Level certification, and a minimum of three months’ experience in tennis instruction or a related field. Emergency First Aid and CPR-C are required, and employment is subject to a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) dated within the last six months. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional ability, effective communication skills, and the ability to deliver safe, organized and engaging programs. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
