Overview:  As part of trail improvements and a new interpretive area in Mount Douglas Park, the District of Saanich is seeking the design and supply of a 10.97m (36 feet) long by approx 1.4m (55 inch) wide pedestrian bridge. The bridge is to be an aluminum frame "commercial walkway" with a non-slip Gridwalk Mini-Mesh decking.

The attached sketch shows the trussed aluminum bridge for guiding purposes. The 1.5m wide lock block footings will be constructed by Saanich forces as per Geotechnical Engineer recommendations.

Scope of Work:

Supply and deliver the following:

  • Engineer approved (stamped) aluminum structure with drawing details.
  • Manufacturer instructions and specifications for installing the bridge.
  • Supply and delivery of bridge (FOB site, delivered).
  • Supply and delivery of manufacturer recommended mounting hardware and/or material. (ie. membrane, epoxy, etc).
