This Request for Supplier Qualifications (“RFSQ”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the District of Saanich (the “District”) to prospective respondents to qualify in accordance with Evaluation of Responses (Part 2) for eligibility to provide Construction Management of the Fire Station #2 Redevelopment as further described in Section A of the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The District’s objective is to obtain the highest quality building while maintaining the best value for money and the most efficient schedule. In order to achieve these goals, the District seeks highly qualified construction contractor to become the Construction Manager.

The District requires a building that satisfies user requirements and performs as per listed energy targets within District provided project schedule. The District wishes to build a team whereby all Project team members work together toward the creation of a cost-effective, high-quality project within the District provided schedule.

The anticipated second-stage competitive process will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) for pre-construction services utilizing a CCDC5A form of contract, as amended by supplementary conditions (the “Pre-construction Contract”). Following successful completion of the Preconstruction Contract and the activities contemplated therein, the District intends to enter into a CCDC-2 form of stipulated price contract, as amended by supplementary conditions (the “Construction Contract”) with the Construction Manager who will assume the role of the general contractor for the Project to execute the construction work
