Call for 2025 Exhibitions Selection Committee

Saanich Community Services is seeking applications from 2 local artist representatives to participate on the Exhibitions Selection Committee for 2025 exhibitions in the Main Gallery at Cedar Hill Recreation & Arts Centre

This is a short-term commitment involving an orientation, review, and selection process in August 2024.  Participation will involve up to 4 hours of your time.  A small honorarium will be offered to artist members of the committee.

Interested artists must have experience in the visual arts. Previous experience on an exhibition selection committee or jury, as well as volunteer, or professional involvement curating or coordinating exhibitions are valuable skill sets for this role. Prospective artists will be capable of providing objective input on proposals from an artistic, cultural and community values perspective.

Process:
Committee members will receive an initial email providing an orientation on the exhibition selection process.  Members will then receive information packages and be responsible for evaluating proposals and making recommendations to the Community Arts staff for the final selection of exhibitions.

Applications will be accepted until July 2, 2024, 11:59 p.m.
