Water supply main repair near Thetis Lake is complete

Repair work on a water supply main near Thetis Lake is now complete. The Capital Regional District (CRD) repaired the leak and the water system is returning to normal operation. Residents can now resume typical water use. 

CRD crews worked throughout the night to complete the repair and restore normal water pressure to the affected supply system. Residents in areas that experienced lower-than-usual water pressure during the repair period should see service return to normal. 

As the system returns to regular operation, some residents may notice slight water discolouration. If you experience this, please flush your system by running a tap until the water colour clears up. 

The District thanks Saanich residents for voluntarily reducing non-essential water use while repairs were underway. These efforts helped stabilize water pressure in affected areas, preserve water for essential household needs and support the continued delivery of water to communities farther north on the Saanich Peninsula.
