Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is advising residents in the Prospect Lake area that they will be without water for a few hours today starting at 11 a.m. due to emergency watermain repairs.

District staff are currently responding to a watermain leak near West Saanich Road which will require that water be shut off for the Prospect Lake area, including Hartland Avenue.  

While the duration of repairs is unknown, staff are hopeful that water will be able to be turned back on in a few hours.

Crews will remain on-site until running water is restored for these areas.

If you live in the affected areas, please plan ahead by:

• Filling up your kettle and pots with water for cooking.
• Filling up your bathtub to use to re-fill your toilet tank.
