Information Bulletin
For immediate release

Saanich, BC – While property tax notices won’t be distributed for another month or so, now is the time for Saanich residents to set themselves up for sustainable success!

Residents are encouraged to sign up for a MySaanich account and subscribe to eBilling to activate paperless billing for your Property Tax account and receive your property tax notice by email.

Signing up for MySaanich not only saves paper – it makes it easier and more convenient for you to access your Saanich notices and bills. This easy-to-use platform provides a single point-of-access for multiple District services.

To receive this year’s property tax notice by email, subscribe to eBilling by April 24, 2026. To complete your signup, you will need to refer to your 2025 property tax notice for the folio number and access code.

Once signed up, residents will be responsible for checking their account each year to view their notice before the payment due date, as a paper statement will no longer be mailed to them.

When will property tax notices be distributed?
Council will adopt the Financial Plan and Tax Rate Bylaws by May 11, 2026, and property tax notices will be distributed electronically and through the mail soon after. Stay tuned for more information on property taxes, coming soon.

If you do not receive your notice by mid-June, please call the property tax office at (250) 475-5454.

New way to pay
Starting May 1, 2026, we’ll be accepting credit card payments for property taxes!  A 2.4% convenience fee will apply to this credit card transaction. Credit card payments can be made in-person at the Municipal Hall, through your MySaanich account or via our Online Payment System.

The new convenience fee ensures that those opting for credit card payments cover the associated costs imposed by credit card companies, thereby keeping the financial impact neutral for taxpayers.

This fee only impacts those who choose to pay their bills by credit card. For those who do not wish to make use of this payment option and pay the fee, Saanich’s other payment methods will remain available to you. View them all at Saanich.ca/taxpayments
