Saanich expands L.I.F.E. program accessibility and benefits

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich is happy to announce updates to the Leisure Involvement For Everyone (L.I.F.E.) program which helps individuals and families residing in the District of Saanich living on a low income to access recreation services. The changes broaden program eligibility, increase participant benefits and streamline the application process.

As part of these updates:

  • Applications can now be completed privately and securely online at Saanich.ca/LIFE.
  • Participants will enjoy unlimited free drop-ins at Saanich recreation centres, as well as;
    • 52 free drop-ins per year, based on pass start and expiry date, at any participating greater Victoria Regional Recreation Centre.
  • Program access is now available for both post-secondary students and preschool aged children.
  • L.I.F.E. passes are now valid for two years from the date of application approval.
  • Additional discounts for Saanich L.I.F.E. clients are available through Saanich recreation centres only.

Eligibility for the L.I.F.E. program is based on financial circumstances. Applicants can be approved based on their proof of income shown by their most recent Notice of Assessment. Other forms of program eligibility are also available and applicant requirements differ based on the scenario.
