Saanich, BC – Greener Garbage is getting a refresh with new routes starting on Wednesday, July 3! Collection schedules will continue every two weeks for garbage and organic waste pick up, but most collection dates are changing.

Get a reminder! Download the Saanich GreenerGarbage App (App Store or Google Play), or use our online notification tool to set a reminder in your preferred method: email, phone call, calendar event (for Google Calendar, iCal, or Microsoft Outlook). Printable copies are also available for download.

It takes time to adjust to change. Wish your neighbours a “Happy Garbage Eve!” to let your community know that collection day is up ahead. Friends don’t let friends miss collection day!

Why are we doing this? We are changing the routes to be more efficient in support of Saanich’s Climate Plan. These route changes have the potential to reduce fuel consumption by more than 10%.
