Fire ban extended through Halloween: no open burning, fireworks or bonfires

Saanich, BC – The Saanich fire ban has been extended through Halloween to include no bonfires or the discharge of fireworks due to extremely dry conditions.

Open burning is also currently banned in all areas of Saanich due to the extreme fire risk. While open burning usually starts in rural Saanich in mid-October, bans are currently in place until further notice.
