Saanich crews are working at the site of the flood and will be providing updates as they become available.

• Crews have been able to restore water to parts of GR Pearkes Recreation Centre.
• Parts of GR Pearkes Recreation centre will reopen (Gold and Green Arenas and attached changerooms, Gold and Green lobby washrooms, Fieldhouse, Fitness Centre, Gardom Room, Ross Room, and the Flipside Teen Centre) for regular hours on Saturday Aug 24, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Washroom facilities will be limited to the Green and Gold Arenas.
• Saanich Archives, Centennial Library and the Saanich Neighbourhood Place Hallway (including the Owen and Lam rooms), Fitness Changerooms, Fitness upper level washrooms, and the Fieldhouse washrooms will remain closed until further notice.
• Programs and rentals outside these areas will resume as scheduled Saturday morning.
• Remediation efforts will continue over the weekend and into next week. The extent of any damage remains unknown at this point.
