Studio 30 Art Club – Group Exhibit

May 21 to July 7, 2025

About the Artwork:

For the Love of Turquoise.
This exhibit will feature the glorious colour of turquoise. Turquoise will be present in each painting either as a main element or as an accent. The colour turquoise will shine brightly through abstracts, florals and landscape art works! Mediums will include acrylic, watercolour, collage and mixed media.

About the Artists:

Studio 30 Art Club is a group of artists from the area in and around Victoria, B.C. The club was formed on January 26, 1981, and our name comes from the fact that the group originally was limited to 30 artists. We have evolved since then and now have approximately 40 members who work in a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, oil, colour pencil, ink, pastel and mixed media. Studio 30 members display their work at a variety of venues each year.

All my Relations – Group Exhibit

May 21 to July 7, 2025

About the Artwork/Artists
The inaugural Queer Island Festival of the Arts represents an unprecedented coming together of our creative communities across non-profit, educational, and commercial sectors in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ artists working in our city. The two dozen partnering venues will present exhibitions, readings, workshops, performances, and panel discussions centering queer experience and approaches in the arts, including important contributions by Indigenous artists, as well as artists of Colour; those working / living with Disabilities; and artists with other marginalized positionalities.

All My Relations, a group art exhibition in the Window Gallery space at Saanich Municipal Hall shares work by local artists in celebration of Pride and Indigenous People’s Month. Two Spirit artists Lynette La Fontaine and Margaret August and queer artist Nicole Mandryk.
