Pieces of Wonder: Taking Up Space Initiative – Group exhibit
April 10 – May 20. 2024

About the Artwork

Paintings by Holly Vivian, Catherine Wilks, and Tammy Peters.Pieces of Wonder is part of the Taking Up Space initiative, a grassroots female-focused global art exhibition. The project launched in 2022 when over 80 exhibitions were shown all over the world around the month of May by female identifying and non-binary artists.

About the Artists

Holly Vivian paints with vibrant colours, circular geometric structure, and loose, playful textures to evoke delight and joy, providing an antidote to urban concrete sprawl.

Catherine Wilks’ current work is a lighthearted exploration of movement, whimsy, and wonder. Acrylic on natural canvas takes form though a mix of abstract and nature inspired elements.

Tammy Peters is an acrylic impressionist painter whose work explores the emotive power of light and landscapes that stir a sense of connection and memory universal to us all.

About the Artwork

The wood art I create comes from my deep love of wood along with a huge respect of the beauty surrounding us. My artwork is a creation from salvaged woods that inspire my imagination to design unique and intriguing art pieces that add beauty, interest, and conversation to a room. My medium is the same wood that too many people chop up and turn into ashes.

About the Artist

In 2014 I taught myself to carve with wood. Having both a love of wood and nature, I carve wildlife scenes.

Sound of Colour - Leroy Boris
April 10 – May 20. 2024

About the Artwork

Sound of Colour includes Abstracts
& PopStracts. Bold colors, expressive strokes & deep raw layers are all hallmarks of my style. My inspiration comes from when I look under my microscope into the reflections, refraction's & inclusions in a gem’s depths. I bring this to my colourful, abstract paintings.

About the Artist

Leroy Boris has been painting since 2005. Bold colors, broad strokes and deep textures of layered acrylic paint are all hallmarks of his style. His playful abstractions combine creative mark making pattern and gestural application of colour. His work as a gemmologist and luxury jewelery designer, as well as an 80’s punk rock vocalist, has influenced his craft.
