About the Artists / Program:
The Camosun College Fine Furniture Program is an intensive foundation program that blends traditional and modern woodworking with a strong art and design curriculum. For most of the program’s history, learners have showcased their craft development with an exhibition mounted at the end of the program.
Camosun Fine Furniture students conceptualize, design, prototype and build a project in local western maple, or wood obtained through the Vancouver Island Woodworker’s Guild wood recovery program. The Fine Furniture program has run for 36 years at Camosun College, and is well regarded in the wider community. The program is a hybrid of trades training combined with art and design as a major focus. Learners work on creating original works in a 10 month program.

Opening Reception: Wednesday, June 25, 2025 between 7:00 and 9:00pm in the Gymnasium.
