Our Child and Youth Services teams are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Program Assistants to support children and youth ages 4 – 16 in programs and day camps delivered at variety of recreation centres and parks in our community.  Program Assistants will help create safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces where children and youth can connect, explore their interests, and build confidence. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; a minimum of eight weeks of experience working with youth in a recreational, instructional, or daycamp setting; Emergency First Aid and CPR-C; and a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) no older than 6 months. Experience supporting children and youth with varying needs, including neurodiversity, is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including daytime, after school, evenings, and weekends; hours and schedules are subject to change based on program needs. As a component of the selection process, testing may be conducted. While we thank all applicants for applying, only those under consideration will be contacted.
