Build safer streets. Deliver real projects. See your work in the community.
Saanich is the largest municipality in Greater Victoria—an exceptional mix of urban and rural neighbourhoods and home to ~124,000 residents. With 1,500+ employees and a reputation for being a great place to work (including recognition as one of BC’s Top Employers for 2025), we offer a collaborative, progressive environment where people do their best work—and keep growing.
If you are excited by active transportation, practical project delivery, and technical design using Autodesk Civil 3D, this is a hands-on role where you will help turn concepts into built improvements residents can use every day.
What you will do
As an Engineering Technician II on our Transportation and Development Services team, you will support sustainable mobility and asset management in the municipal right-of-way. With guidance from senior technicians and managers, you will help plan, design, deliver, and close out smaller-scale municipal infrastructure projects—and build your project management experience along the way.
You’ll work on initiatives like:

- Liaise with internal crews, contractors, utilities, consultants, agencies, and other project partners
