Description:

The Parks Division is seeking a Coordinator - Parks who will be responsible for planning, assigning, supervising and assisting in the work of the Natural Areas section. 

Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; three years of progressive experience in a position related to the work of the section including six months supervisory experience in a related operational work area; supervisory skills training; two year diploma in environmental studies, environmental sciences, natural resource management, ecological restoration, or arboriculture; current ISA certificate; current ISA Tree Risk Assessor Qualification Certificate; valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 

The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday between 7:00am – 3:30p.m. (40 hours a week). Sufficient health, physical condition, strength, stamina to perform technical work, related to trees, in all types of weather. In addition to the interview process, testing will be conducted.
