Childminder (Expression of Interest)

This is an Expression of Interest for Employees Only:  You must be a current employee of the District of Saanich to be considered.

Hours/Location of work: Saturday, November 22^nd from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Gordon Head Middle School (1671 Kenmore Rd)

The Parks Division is seeking Childminders to provide childcare support at the Lambrick Park Campus Renewal Project Open House. The Childminders will engage with children of all ages while guardians participate in the open house. Each Childminder will be responsible for up to a maximum of 4 children.

Duties may include:

• Providing supervision of children in a safe and organized manner
• Preparing the room and activities necessary to support childcare
• Facilitating activities, such as crafting and colouring
• Distributing snacks to children with permission from guardians 
• Cleaning up activities after the event
• Other related duties as required

Candidates are required to have:

• The ability to maintain patience, support and understanding with children
