Saanich honours Councillor Lillian Szpak

Saanich, BC – The District of Saanich will be lowering the flags at Municipal Hall to acknowledge the passing of City of Langford Councillor and CRD Director Lillian Szpak.

“On behalf of Saanich Council and all residents of Saanich, I want to express my condolences to Lillian’s family, loved ones and colleagues during this difficult time,” says Saanich Mayor Dean Murdock.

“Lillian served her community in a variety of ways for more than two decades, in public office and as a volunteer. She was a strong, compassionate voice for the local community she cared deeply about, and for the broader region as well – and she will be missed.”
