Saanich Yard and Garden Waste Drop-Off: fall hours in effect

This year the Saanich Yard and Garden Waste Drop-Off (YGWDO) is easing into the fall schedule with a phased approach.

The YGWDO is operating six days a week now through November 15, 2025, and then reducing hours to four days a week while operational staff complete other municipal work.

• Phase 1: now through November 15
  Monday to Saturday – Open (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  Sunday and Stat Holidays – Closed
  
  
• Phase 2: November 17 to Spring 2026
  Monday and Tuesday – Open (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  Wednesday and Thursday – Closed
  Friday and Saturday – Open (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  Sunday and Stat Holidays – Closed

Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest drop-off days; residents may consider planning drop-offs during slower times such as late-morning and early-afternoon to avoid longer waiting times.
