Roy Road temporary closure: September 24 to December 5

Saanich, BC – Crews are preparing to replace the existing storm drain and sanitary sewer on Roy Road between Wilkinson Road and Carey Road. This work marks Phase II of the project and construction will take place from September 24 to December 5.

Closure details:

• Roy Road will be closed from Carey Road to Wilkinson Road.
• Construction will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays between Wednesday, September 24 to Friday, December 5.
• Local traffic only during construction hours.
• Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained. Please follow all signage and directions in the area.

After-hours and weekend access:

Following weekday construction hours, Roy Road will be open overnight (4 p.m. to 8 a.m. on weekdays) and 24/7 during weekends for westbound travel only – in the direction of Carey Road to Wilkinson Road.
