Starting Monday, August 18, 2025, Saanich Municipal Hall (770 Vernon Avenue) will be the place to pay for and pick up residential tree permits.  

Previously, residential tree permits were issued at the Saanich Operations Centre (1040 McKenzie Avenue).

Tree permit pick-ups are by appointment only, and a specific pick-up time will be arranged during the permit application process. No walk-in service is available.

From August 18 to August 29, customers who were instructed to pick up their tree permits at the Saanich Operations Centre can still pick up their tree permits at the McKenzie location. After that time, pick-up will only be available at Municipal Hall.

All other permits (building permits, subdivisions, servicing, etc.) will still be picked up at the issuing department.
