Multiple ways to pay your taxes

Saanich, BC – Property tax notices are in the mail and residents can expect to receive their tax notice by early June. Property Taxes are due by July 4, 2022.

The District of Saanich encourages residents to use one of the online, mail or drop off options for payment by the July 4 due date.

Online banking: Pay through your financial institution’s online banking system. Check their local cut-off time to ensure payment is received by the due date.

Please add District of Saanich or Saanich Tax as the payee and use your folio/roll number without the dashes as an account number. If you have purchased a new property, please ensure you update your folio/roll number with your online banking. Payment made to the wrong municipality will result in a penalty.

By Mail: Mail your cheque and bottom portion of your tax notice to 770 Vernon Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 2W7. Payment must be received by July 4, 2022, to avoid penalty. Make your cheque payable to District of Saanich.

Drop box: There’s a secure slot at the entrance of the Municipal Hall near the parking lot. The slot is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Payment by cheque only.

In person at the Municipal Hall: Bring your tax notice and payment to the Municipal Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Public access is via the parking lot entrance of the Municipal Hall.

Through your financial institution: Make sure to get proof of on-time payment. Please contact your financial institution for hours of operation and local cut-off times.

Through your mortgage company: Contact your financial institution for more information.

Pre-pay your 2023 property taxes: To sign up for the plan, complete the Pre-authorized Application form and return it to our office with a VOID cheque.
