Saanich, BC – Saanich crews are collecting garbage and organics carts that were missed when refuse collection was canceled on Tuesday, December 20. Crews are also attempting to return to streets that were not accessible due to snow and icy conditions on subsequent collection days.

If crews were not able to collect garbage and organics due to weather conditions, residents are asked to leave carts out. Services will resume on Wednesday, December 28.

Support services are recording missed collections as they are reported. To keep phone lines available for snow and flooding-related emergencies, residents are asked to please email greenergarbage@saanich.ca if needed to report a missed garbage collection. If you are able to wait for your next collection day that would be very helpful in assisting crews to catch up.
