Saanich working on protocols related to BC Vaccine Card

Throughout the pandemic, the District of Saanich has followed guidelines and orders as directed by the Provincial Health Officer, coupled with program- or sport-specific standards set by the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), ViaSport, and other sport governing bodies. Going forward, the District intends to continue to follow a similarly informed approach.

With respect to the Province’s announcement of August 23, 2021 regarding the BC Vaccine Card and expectation to show proof of ID for discretionary activities, the District will work with Island Health and BCRPA to develop protocols and guidelines. As more information becomes available, the District will communicate updated procedures for admittance to District-owned facilities.
