An Attachment to Place:
An Exhibition of Works by Anna Forbes

This exhibition of new works is an exploration of place and artist Anna Forbes’ connections to it. It celebrates places which have significance her life, from Hong Kong to rural Ontario, to Victoria. Not always by choice, she has had to travel some distance to be with her beloved family and has formed attachments to the places in which she and they live.
About the Artist
Anna Forbes retired in June 2015 from Head of Visual Art, St. Michaels University School, Victoria, B.C. after 28 years. She holds a BA in Fine art(textile design and graphic design) and B.Ed in Art Education. After retirement, worked at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria as a volunteer docent and also as a curriculum supervisor in the Department of Education at the University of Victoria. Currently, she is devoting her time to full-time painting.
