History

The District of Saanich has been aware of slope stability issues along Cordova Bay Road in PKOLS (Mount Douglas Park) since the 1970’s. Because of the sensitive nature of the park and its cultural significance, Saanich staff continue to monitor the slope regression and determine short term remediation work to stabilize the road edge. After this present monitoring phase, the Engineering Department anticipate providing information on how to proceed in 2024.
