Saanich launches new online Permit and Development Tracker

Saanich, BC – Accessing information and updates about development and permit applications in the District of Saanich just got a lot simpler thanks to the launch of Saanich’s new online Permit and Development Tracker.

The Saanich Permit and Development Tracker lets you view newly submitted permits and development applications and track their progress online. The tracker shows the status of development permits, rezoning, subdivision and board of variance applications, and the status of boulevard, plumbing, tree and blasting permits, to name a few. It also shows residents the dates of upcoming council meetings associated with development applications.

“This new online tool allows the community to access and view newly submitted permits and development applications and track application progress online,” said District of Saanich Chief Administrative Officer Brent Reems. “Now Saanich residents have the option to search by address, neighbourhood or permit type and easily see the progress being made on applications from their desktop or mobile device.”

The tracker aims to increase transparency and accessibility for applicants, the development community, stakeholders, and any member of the public wishing to see what’s happening in their neighbourhood and around Saanich. Look for more application types to be added to the tracker throughout the fall.
