About the Exhibit
“I painted the exhibit “Flowering” as an antidote to the forced solitude and sadness of the world health emergency. For me, creating an explosion of colour and joy gives me a glimpse of optimism, like spring on the horizon.” - Florence Roberge
About the Artist
Florence Roberge began her professional artistic life in Vancouver in 1970. Since then she has continually created art, on Salt Spring Island and currently in her studio in James Bay, Victoria.
Collected across North America, Europe and
Australia, Florence's work is in many private
and public collections. These include Burnaby Art Gallery, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation and Vancouver General Hospital Foundation.
