FibreAti Presents:

“A Hundred Thousand Threads IV” Textile Art Exhibition

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 6 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

FibreAti is a group of experimental fibre artists who formed in 2004. We meet once a month to share what we are working on. Originally we organized our meetings around small explorations. However, as each of us has developed greater competency, the focus has shifted, encouraging experimentation and growth of this art form, including drawing inspiration from each other’s latest work.

Our love of colour and texture is expressed using layers of materials, images, paints, dyes, embellishments and stitching. Working independently, we encourage one another's artistic evolution.

Over the years members have come and gone. Currently we are five, of which, three are original members, with Dale MacEwan and Judi MacLeod, Joanne Barnard, Linda Carswell Bland and Clare Attwell. This is their fourth show.
